BACCARAT EQUIPMENT

BACCARAT---CHEMIN de FER as it is known in the United States, is played is most major casinos. Before 1960 it was called "Shimmy" by American gamblers. The Stardust Hotel in Las Vegas introduced a Shimmy table in early 1958, the first legalized game of Chemin de Fer in the country. Almost two years later November 21, 1959 the Sands Hotel began operating the first Baccarat-Chemin de Fer table in Las Vegas.

DISCARD HOLDER: The discard holder is used for the cards that have been played. It fits under the baccarat table. The slot cover is round and made out of maple wood, and fits flush with the table top. The discard holder is made of stainless steel. Size: 21" in diameter by 7 1/2" deep and mounts under the table.
